A very flat out and back trail, along a creekbed, that is all dirt with a few planks.

Description

Once you cross the long bridge leading away from Yates Mill Pond, a sign will guide you to the left for the Creekside Trail. This trail starts out along a very flat stretch through a low creek bed. Some areas are wet and include planks. The end of the trail is a loop that winds around, which is very easy to follow, and changing direction provides some unique challenges and scenery on the way back.

Flora & Fauna

Look for birds, beaver, and the occasional deer!

Walked this trail and around the lake with my grand children on my visit to Raleigh. Nice relaxing scenic walk. 1mi — 0h 45m
