Description

This trail is a great intermediate route to the summit with very few difficult sections. The trailhead is located at the Moosilauke Ravine Lodge. The trail starts with a bridge over the Gorge Brook with a sign-in box. There are two more bridges that cross the Gorge Brook. At the summit, there is an old stone foundation for what used to be a hotel. The summit is bare and has great views in all directions as long as the weather is good. The trail is a local favorite, and there were quite a few people at the top, but since the top is large, the large number of visitors was not an issue and it never felt crowded.

A relatively tame (by 4000' standards) climb to Moosilauke and its bare summit. Can be used as part of a loop.
