Description
The trail starts with a strenuous, all-uphill bit. Following this quick beginning, you come to an intersection where left/straight will continue to take you uphill, or right will lead you through a meadow first. This trail is 'lollipop" shaped, so feel free to go either left or right. Both directions will lead you back to the same place!
This is just a fun short loop, though there's not much in the way of views. The flowers in the meadow attract all sorts of colorful insects and provide beautiful splashes of color themselves.
This trail isn't often used or maintained, but the Army Corps of Engineers do a great job at maintaining signage along the way. Even with the overgrowth in places, you would have to try to lose the trail. Be warned that there are A LOT of spider webs crossing the path which are not dangerous, but a nuisance.
