Description

The Primrose Nature Trail begins with a long wooden staircase accessed from the East Canyon Road. Probably the most strenuous part of this hike is the first 84 (counted) steps! After that, the trail continues as a doubletrack to the northwest and skirts the campground sites in the park.

An observation deck about halfway offers a view of the river below. Here the trail narrows, descends and crosses a small creek and ultimately dead ends at a narrow, shallow section of the river where a picnic table can be found for a lunch by the river if you so choose.
