Description
This trail can be accessed from the small parking lot at the end of General Trimble Lane or off of the main parking area for Brawner Farm where you can find the trail right off the main road leading to the parking area.
From the parking lot off of General Trimble Lane, the trail starts on a gentle incline as it winds through the woods. At about 1.2 miles, the trail starts to follow along the power lines that skirt the outside of the park and the unfinished railroad cuts across the farm. The power lines are not the best of scenes, but there is solitude. I have done this route many times and I don't every remember seeing anyone else on this trail.
After a turn to the south, the trail will pass the main Brawner Farm parking lot. The trail then winds from the parking area towards Route 29 (Lee Highway) and the turns northeast through a wooded area to rejoin the main
Brawner Farm Loop trail. From here, you can continue north to make a loop on the bridle path or you can connect to the
Deep Cut Loop trail for a change of scenery.
Flora & Fauna
Dear, squirrels and natural Dogwoods are plentiful. There are wildflowers once you get past the power lines that are pretty.
