Description

This trail is tough. Regardless of the direction you hike it, the trail climbs quickly and descends with several moderately steeper sections. It also features several sharp twists and turns in conjunction with the climbs.

At the southeastern corner of this trail are the historic remnants of an old waterwheel building. This trail may be accessed from the Oconee Trail at its southern end. This trail may also be accessed from the parking area for the Foothills, Tamassee Knob, and Hidden Falls Trails.

There is an additional entrance further south on the paved road from the Foothills parking area behind a forest service gate. This section of trail overlaps the Oconee Trail for a short distance, which also has an entrance here. The blaze color for this trail is blue.
