Description

This trail is one of the most historic in the park, combining historic farming roads with early conservation efforts. The trail was originally a grouping of farm roads, which were repurposed as bridle paths in the early development of the park at the turn of the 20th century.

Today, the trail is mostly a doubletrack and is a major north to south connector within the park. The route follows along various creek drainages, and because of this there are multiple sections where the route will be muddy or marshy. There will also be multiple creek crossings, and bridges have been built to aid in the crossing. Any portions of the trail that become steep are accompanied by handrails.

Flora & Fauna

Local forest flora is present, including towering Oak and Tulip trees.
