Family Friendly Children will love to travel along the water in search of wildlife.

Description

Travel along the Two Ponds Trail to experience verdant green forests, spectacular views, and abundant wildlife.

Starting from the Pocono Environmental Education Center Parking Area, follow signage to the Two Ponds Trail. From the trailhead, wander through mixed hardwood and pine forests flush with white oak, red maple, and shagbark hickory. Upon reaching the two ponds along the route, keep your eyes peeled for signs of fuzzy yellow goslings being shepherded by their parents along the water's edge. Needless to say, bringing your camera along in anticipation of this adorable sight is highly recommended.

Near its end, the trail forms a T-intersection with the Tumbling Waters Trail, which visitors can use (heading north) to return to the parking area.

Flora & Fauna

White oak, red maple, shagbark hickory, and numerous species of pine can be seen along the trail. If you're lucky, you might even see goslings and their parents skirting the edges of both ponds.
