Description

The trail starts from the Rio Grand Village campsite. The beginning takes you over floating docks on marsh area adjacent to the Rio Grande. The trail then takes you up a gentle grade to an overlook with views of Boquillas del Carmen, Tunnel area, the Rio Grande (of course), and great framed views of the Dead Horse and Chisos Mountains. There is also a spur trail that juts off to the rocky banks of the Rio. This trail gives a view of all the environments of Big Bend, the mountains, canyons, desert, river, and its fertile valley. Love it!
