Description

This trail winds through granite boulders and open sequoia forests to reach a stunning overlook of the Redwood Mountain Grove. The trailhead is a small turn off on Generals Hwy, so it is easy to drive right past. Keep an eye out for the pull off!

The trails is well marked until you get to the top where you have to look for stones and cairns leading the way. The trail leads to a granite boulder peak overlooking the redwood grove below and King's Canyon in the distance. It is a striking view and feels like you should have worked a lot harder for such an amazing panorama.

Terrible. Very poorly marked, got lost several times, couldn't find end for sunset view, got off trail again on way back and it got dark. 3mi
