Description

The Mile Rock Trail provides an intriguing look into the quarry history of Arabia Mountain. Along this trail, which is marked by rock cairns, hikers can see the rock ledges that were blasted from the mountainside, and the drill holes and metal wedges left behind in the rock. You can also see the ruins of small buildings left from the quarry operations. These sites are slowing being reclaimed by nature. The Mile Rock Trail, which is indeed a mile long, will eventually terminate at the Forest Trail where you can choose to continue on to make a loop or return back to the trailhead the way you came.
