Need to Know

Trailhead parking is 4.5 miles (7.2 km) east of Cedar Grove Village road. Purchase a trail guide at the visitor center. Allow 1 hour.

Description

After a very short jaunt from the trailhead, you'll reach the bridge crossing the Kings River. After that, you'll make a quick loop around the Zumwalt Meadow. The trail does get a bit rocky near the southern section where it briefly climbs along the scree field, but this is very manageable. This short hike is a must hit if you're going through the park.

Beautiful walk on the valley floor, passing a green meadow along the Kings River. Bridge was out, so I backtracked. The River Trail makes one side. 1.3mi

Did not do the entire trail. Description is somewhat deceptive as it's not really a loop since it spits you out somewhere else. 1.2mi
