Start at the dirt road just off the White Salmon Day Lodge access road. Begin climbing immediately. Continue on this road/Cat track until just past the mile where you approach a big curve to the left. At the apex of this curve continue up the steep track more to the right (if you miss it the "main" track will peter out in the next half mile or so and you'll know you missed the turn).

Continue up and then down a steep rocky section. At the ski lift post, cross two streams and take a left onto a singletrack which will turn into a CAT track again. This will wind around and flatten out as you approach the road at Heather Meadows.
