Access during summer and early fall

Description

Accessed from Metaline Falls via the Boundary Dam Road and Forest Service Rd #350, the trailhead is well established and marked. It climbs from the parking area in the forest through the trees until it starts to emerge onto the upper mountain. Once past the tree line the views open up to the east.

The summit of the mountain has the remnants of an old fire lookout that is now just a foundation. The views from the summit are 360 degrees and you can see the border with Canada.

Flora & Fauna

Occasional bears, moose, and coyotes. Berries cover the mountain during mid-summer.
