Description
North Rim is seldom used in its entirety. Most often folks choose this connector to reach the Lake Valley Golf Club neighborhoods or Niwot Road beyond.
From the
Sage Trail in Boulder Valley Ranch, turn north on the crushed gravel trail and proceed through the gate. North Rim starts out flat and smooth through a short riparian zone heading towards the houses. Hike down a short steep section.
At the bottom, keep an eye out for the unmarked and faint trail heading to the east. It is easy to miss the trail and end up on Golf Club Drive. Travel east along the indistinct trail; don't be daunted by the often very tall grass. Eventually the trail turns north and runs between two fences, ascending a gradual rise. At the top, North Rim flattens out and then ends by turning west over a small bridge and spitting out into the grass next to Golf Club Drive.
Flora & Fauna
Eagles, northern harriers, red-tailed hawks, deer, coyotes, prairie dogs, rattlesnakes, bull snakes. Yucca.
