Description
Run among some redwood giants. Either direction will have you panting from a 750+ ft climb. Terrain can be packed dirt, sandy, or full of roots so watch your footwork.
This trail resides on a Buddhist retreat. They are kind enough to open it to the public so show respect and keep your voices low and leave no trace. Although mountain biking is illegal on these trails you may still run into some riders.
From the bridge crossing follow the road to the right up a very steep hill then keep left. Around the next bend take the path around the gate into the woods. Follow this trail under some fallen trees and across the creek. This is where you meet your first hill climb. At the connection to a gravel road hang a left then at the top of the next hill go right. Keep on this path to the next fork that has a map and continue forward. Follow this singletrack up and up. At the top there is a connector trail which will lead to Nicene Marks' Westridge trail. Follow the Tibetan prayer flags to continue on your 6 mile loop. It's a clear path back from there.
Flora & Fauna
