Description

Mountain bikers call this A-Line. It weaves, bobs, and tip-toes along the edge of steep drops, eventually cutting across Peppergrass Trail. Continue through and after a few more turns look for a chain-link cage on your left. 20 yards after the cage on the left is an access road down to Friends Ave, or Beverly Blvd. If you keep going straight downhill, the trail merges again with Peppergrass Trail, right next to the concrete-covered reservoir on Greenleaf Ave.

The trail surface is mostly smooth, hard-pack but it has a lot of bumps and dimples along with a few ruts here and there, so mind your ankles.

Flora & Fauna

Small trees, wildflowers, cactus, seasonal grasses, bushes. Watch for rattlesnakes (especially in the spring), rabbits, lizards, squirrels, and birds, with an occasional deer, or a coyote near sunset.
