The Sutallee Trace Stewards

Who We Are:

A motivated volunteer association, partnering with Troop 241 BSA Scouts Canton, overseeing and maintaining the Trace hiking trails system, researching and identifying historic artifacts, and seeking to preserve the natural beauty of the Sutallee Trace Pocket Wilderness.

Our Vision:

We strive to conserve the hiking trail system and its natural greenspace environment for public use and enjoyment.

Our Purpose:

• Construct, maintain, and protect the land and trail system.
• Work cooperatively with Scouts Canton and various landowners to preserve the Sutallee Trace Pocket Wilderness.
• Inform and educate the community about opportunities for outdoor recreation, public service, and historical
significance.
• Conduct workshops and events to foster skills in trail construction and maintenance.
• Instill in its members and the general public a conservation ethics.
