American Volkssports Association

Volksmarching (from German "Volksmarsch", people's march) is a form of non-competitive fitness walking that developed in Europe in the mid-late 1960s. American Volkssport Association is a branch of IVV, the International Federation of Popular Sports. IVV organizes 7,500 events/year. Members earn incentives such as certificates and badges for participation. AVA (America's Walking Club) is committed to Fun, Fitness and Friendship.
