ACORNS (Association for Conservation of Recreational and Natural Spaces)
ACORNS (Association for Conservation of Recreational and Natural Spaces, Inc.) is a 501(c)(3) organization supporting Genesee County, New York (Genesee County Park & Forest and Dewitt Recreation Area) parks. It promotes the use and appreciation of the parks and supports environmental education.
ACORNS provides financial and volunteer support for programs that supplement recreational, environmental, and educational activities at the Genesee County parks. We staff the Nature Interpretive Center, assist at environmental education programs, fund displays at the Nature Interpretive Center, assist with biological surveys, and participate in trail and facilities maintenance.
