Uwharrie Trailblazers
The Uwharrie Trailblazers started in 2012 as a group of trail enthusiasts who started building a new section of trail on Little Long Mountain for The LandTrust for Central NC.
In the past several years we have worked with the Forest Service, Land Trust, and Zoo Society to reconnect the historic trail from Jumpin’ Off Rock on Flint Hill Rd. to High Pine Church Rd. 8 miles of new and reclaimed trail!
In 2013 we helped, along with the Landtrust, lead the first annual thru-hike of the entire trail. We continue to hold a thru-hike and trail celebration each year.
