Description

This is an essential spot for southern Wisconsin trail enthusiasts. This is a really nice long out-and-back route of the Ice Age Trail that stays relatively remote, despite being surrounded by agriculture. The route itself goes through the Lodi Marsh State Natural Area. While a marsh can be found on northwestern outskirts of the southwestern section of the route, the majority of the route stays high and dry. In fact, there are some very good climbs on this route. Like many southern Wisconsin trails, this mostly singletrack route goes through open prairies and also some thick forests. There are a couple of steep parts that make this a fun and slightly technical route at times, but overall, this is extremely enjoyable.
